Team Leader for the Business Support functions and the newly formed Specialist Employment Advisors. Accountable for supporting the team to achieve outcomes and meeting the employment support needs of the most vulnerable residents in the borough through targeted employment support approach. Responsible for implementing the delivery and strategic plan for the Haringey Works service.

Service Support Team

We support service areas with the design, modernisation, development, and implementation of service-specific requirements. Assist with matters affecting the wider staff group. Queries that relate to Haringey residents, businesses, and providers.

Responsible for working with businesses and organisations to provide tailored support with their recruitment needs. Working with the adviser team to source, screen and recruit local talent for employers.

Specialist Employment Team

The Specialist Team- Provide specialist areas of advice and support to the most vulnerable residents in Haringey. The team is made up of individuals with specialist knowledge of resident groups and finding creative solutions to support Haringey residents into employment.

Employment Advisor: Autism and Learning disabilities

Focused on supporting residents aged 18-34 who have learning disabilities or autism. The service includes individualised support, training/upskilling, CV building, interview preparation and techniques, pre-employment training and in work support for 6 months.

Appointments can be made in person or via MS Teams.

Personalised support to people who are receiving help from substance misuse services who wish to move into sustainable employment.

Focus is to support clients in identifying their strengths, skills and aspirations to create the right job match, including working to understand their background, potential barriers and to develop a tailored action plan around their job goals.

As part of a community health team, we adopt a tried and tested approach called Individual Placement and Support (IPS) which helps to bridge the gap between misconceptions around substance misuse and employment.

Senior Resident Engagement Advisor

Responsible to lead the Local Candidate Sourcing and Opportunity Service as a viable option for local skilled residents. Proactively recruiting Haringey residents to join the Haringey Works talent pool and to register interest in working for the Council on a temporary basis. Responsible for Shortlisting candidates and further Match appropriate candidates in the talent pool to live opportunities, working closely with HR (Human Resources) and relevant service areas to understand their temporary worker requirements. First point of contact to all the Hiring Managers and Team Leaders to meet their Recruitment needs for their wide range of services.

Resident Engagement Advisor

Devise administrative systems that maintain the Talent Pool with a continuous good supply of candidates and CVs in line with the Council’s temporary worker requirements. Network, promote and market the service to residents. Carry out ID and Right to Work, references checks on residents who have registered an interest in working for the Council on a temporary basis. Search the Talent Pool for appropriate CVs to meet the temporary worker requirements. Assist SREA.
