Supporting People into Sustainable Employment

Haringey Works proudly delivers the Connect to Work programme — a voluntary, government-funded initiative designed to help individuals overcome barriers to employment and thrive in the workplace.

Whether you're currently out of work or at risk of losing your job due to health circumstances, we offer tailored, one-to-one support to help you move forward with confidence.

Who We Support

Connect to Work is funded by the UK Government and supports:

People with disabilities or health conditions
Individuals facing complex life challenges
Those in work but at risk of losing their job*

*If you're at risk of losing your job, you must have been employed for at least 3 months (this does not apply to zero-hour contracts).

Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible if you:

Are aged 18 or over
Live in Haringey
Are not currently enrolled in another DWP-funded programme
Are unemployed or at risk of losing your job

And you must either:

Have a disability or health condition, or
Belong to one of the following groups:
Offenders or ex-offenders
Carers and ex-carers
People experiencing homelessness
UK Armed Forces members, veterans, partners, or reservists
Individuals with a history of drug or alcohol dependency
Care-experienced young people or care leavers
Refugees, Afghan resettlers, or those on the Ukrainian scheme
Survivors of domestic abuse or modern slavery
Young people at risk of serious violence

What You’ll Receive

As a participant, you’ll get access to a dedicated Employment Specialist who will support you with:

A personalised Vocational Profile and Action Plan
Job-specific CVs and cover letters
Mock interviews and preparation
Better-off calculations to understand financial benefits of working
Skills and job assessments via the National Careers Service
Travel planning for work
Connections to local employers
Health-related support
In-work support to help you succeed and grow
