Browser and display issues

We do our best to use the latest web standards in the design and build of our websites. We suggest you use one of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard. Non-compliances and exemptions are listed below.

  • Accessible links and descriptions
    • Some text descriptions of links may not be accessibly friendly. We plan to address this by devoloping flexability into some areas of the system.
  • Missing button in form
    • This error is flagged by Siteimprove because it can’t detect that the website has been created using ASP.NET Web Forms. A .ASPX page can only contain one "form runat="server" control.
  • Moving carousel
  • Scaling of buttons/boxes
    • Some buttons and boxes across the system may effect accessibility i.e alignment etc. We plan to address this soon.
    • Moving carousel is not accessibly friendly, therefore has been slowed down to allow for ease of reading. We plan to address the accessibility options of the carousel.
  • Page/table headings
    • Not every page or table has a heading. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1. We plan to address TBD
  • HTML is used to format content
    • A presentational attribute called ‘frameborder’ is being used on certain Google “iframes”. We use Google Maps and Google reCAPTCHA across the website and these iframes are automatically generated by Google.

Testing

We regularly carry out accessibility tests on our websites to make sure they are compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

We use Wave and Siteimprove Chrome extension tools to help us identify and fix usability and accessibility issues.

Links to other websites

All links to other websites will open in new page (tab). We monitor the accessibility of our websites regularly but cannot guarantee that the links to other websites will be completely accessible.
